ZipToken

User Guide

How ZipToken works: the market data, what it can and cannot tell you, and how to transfer the downside it measures.

Important

ZipToken is a technology platform. ZipToken is not an insurance company, insurance producer, or broker, and does not currently offer, sell, or solicit insurance. Quotes shown are non-binding reference estimates generated from published index data for demand-assessment purposes only. Any future coverage products are expected to be underwritten and issued by licensed insurance or reinsurance partners. Nothing on this site is an offer of insurance, an insurance contract, or financial advice. Full legal & disclosures →

What is ZipToken

ZipToken publishes real estate market data for nine US states and prices protection against the downside that data measures. The data side is a subscription product: an index level and its year-over-year move, growth, volatility, a peer rank, a weather-delay profile, and a scenario view — every figure carried back to the published series and the print date it came from. The protection side prices a parametric contract that settles on the first published print of that same index.

Two things make the numbers defensible. First, contracts settle on a published index that no counterparty controls, and on the first print only — later restatements never change an outcome. Second, when there is no live print, ZipToken shows "—". Never a zero, never a national average, never last month's number relabeled.

Who It's For

The guide is written for the person sizing a project: a developer, an owner, a lender, or the analyst building the pro forma. You come to answer a question about a specific market — what has it actually done, how far can it move over my horizon, and what does it cost to transfer the tail of that move to someone else.

Developers & owners

Start on Explore or the Screener to find the market, open its Market Report or Scenario Analysis to size the risk, then price the layer that covers it on the Hedge page.

Liquidity providers

Private equity and specialty risk capital take the other side, earn premium, and manage mandates, quote flow, and exposure from the Liquidity-Provider Desk.

Free vs. Paid

Quoting is free with an account. The data plan buys breadth and the artifacts — the report, the assumptions pack, the screener, scenario analysis, watchlists, and the brief archive.

No account

Browse the maps and read the guide. Structural report preview with no numbers in it.

Free account

Email sign-in. Full reference quotes on any market, and every quote is counted in the pre-launch demand study.

Data plan

The full report and PDF, the assumptions pack, the whole screener with peer comparison, scenario analysis, watchlists, and the brief archive.

Each rung includes everything below it. Quoting never requires the data plan.
